COURSE OBJECTIVES Flap management is the most important part of a successful implant surgery. It is possible to close the flap of the gum tissue properly and safely heal it if the flap is formed correctly. In this interactive course, we will be using pig jaws to perform the flap management technique. In addition, we will introduce the most commonly used GBR procedures for tissue augmentation. The goal of this course is to understand the importance of flap management and GBR procedures as well as how to apply this technique to your practice. COURSE SUMMARY - Introduce flap management, unique hand suturing methods and various GBR principles for implant surgery. - Cover the differences between the wide alveolar ridge and narrow alveolar ridge techniques for flap management. - Go over flap closure techniques, including how to release the tension of the incised gum tissue. - Review various suture methods for tension distribution on the gum. - Focus on how to integrate and apply the various principles of GBR to dental implant surgery in practice. - Introduce and present new GBR techniques. - Demonstrations and hands-on sessions for GBR procedures. - Introduce methods to solve wound complications through obtaining a comprehensive understanding of wound healing.
